As the Technical Product Manager, Integrations for Ascend—our flagship omnichannel engagement platform—you will own the strategy and delivery of scalable, reusable integrations that power seamless experiences for healthcare professionals and pharma partners. You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, and partner teams to ensure Ascend integrates securely and efficiently with critical systems including SSO, identity management, and API-based data exchanges.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, design, data, sales, marketing, customer success, and external partners to deliver integrations that expand Ascend’s reach, enhance security and compliance, and accelerate adoption across the healthcare ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision, Execution, & Delivery

  • Define and evolve the integration strategy for Ascend’s platform, ensuring scalability, reusability, and alignment with business goals.
  • Translate technical requirements (e.g., SSO, identity management, and API-based integrations) into a prioritized roadmap.
  • Partner with engineering to design and deliver secure, high-quality integrations that support HCP and pharma workflows.
  • Ensure integration initiatives move from concept to launch with clear documentation, repeatable delivery processes, and measurable success criteria.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving interoperability standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in healthcare IT.

Customer & Market Insights

  • Engage with customers, partners, and internal teams to understand integration needs and pain points.
  • Anticipate emerging requirements for interoperability and prioritize features that increase adoption and stickiness.
  • Champion the technical user experience by ensuring integrations are reliable, easy to implement, and well supported.

Partnership & Monetization

  • Collaborate with commercial and partner teams to expand Ascend’s ecosystem through integrations with a variety of third-party systems.
  • Define success metrics and documentation to enable repeatable integration rollouts and partner enablement.
  • Ensure all integrations align with healthcare regulatory, privacy, and security standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on technical products and integrations.
  • Proven success managing platform-level integrations in health tech, SaaS, or enterprise software.
  • Hands-on familiarity with SSO, identity management, and API-driven integrations, ideally in regulated healthcare or life sciences environments.
  • Strong understanding of interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and data security frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST).
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; able to work closely with engineering teams on technical details while aligning stakeholders on business impact.
  • Experience in high-growth startup or scale-up environments; comfortable building scalable frameworks in fast-paced, evolving contexts.
  • Nice to have: prior experience with CRM/ERP integration, partner ecosystems, or developer-facing platforms.

The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - 150,000.

Where you land within the range will reflect your skills, experience, and location, while keeping team parity in mind and leaving room for future growth.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
