Technical Product Manager II - IAM / Platform Engineering
The Technical Product Manager II plays a pivotal role in our Technology department, specifically within the Authentication and Authorization, Platform Engineering Standards, Common Services, and APIs domains. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire product life cycle, from strategy and roadmap creation to development and marketing. The successful candidate will own the definition and execution of strategies, setting measurable outcomes and KPIs. They will work closely with Platform teams to ensure the successful delivery of new products, enhancements, and modernizations.
Responsibilities- Lead and direct Platform teams to maximize product value and ensure a seamless product life cycle.
- Create and execute product roadmaps, strategies, and development plans.
- Champion product ideas and initiatives, driving them from concept to launch.
- Define and track measurable outcomes and KPIs, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable product features.
- Prioritize and manage product backlogs, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform product decisions.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and quality product deliveries.
- Provide product expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure products meet defined quality standards and user expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical products.
- Proven track record of successful product launches and enhancements.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with experience in defining and tracking KPIs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with authentication and authorization technologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of platform engineering standards and APIs is an asset.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. Pay Grade 23. $107,464 -$232,906.
