This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team (GTIO), where our mission is to deliver modern and relevant technology that supports the way McDonald's works. We deliver outstanding foundational technology products and services encompassing Global Networking, Cloud, End User Computing, and IT Service Management. It's our goal to always provide an engaging, relevant, and simple experience for our customers.
The Cloud FinOps, Technical Product Manager role is part of Cloud Ecosystem team. The role reports to the Sr. Manager and is responsible for collaborating with Application, Business, Operations and Finance teams to improve operational costs and identify efficiencies. This will include providing financial insights and recommendations on how Cloud usage can be optimized, while governing pricing controls and developing automated reporting that enables financial transparency.
This is an exciting opportunity for an expert technology leader to help craft the transformation of infrastructure and operations products and services to the entire McDonalds environment.

- Supervise Cloud usage/spend across different Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to identify potential cost reductions, including underutilized resources, inefficient configurations, and unnecessary spending patterns.
- Partner with supporting functions to develop and implement strategies to optimize Cloud costs.
- Educate and provide access to the system for Cloud spend/usage via industry leading tools.
- Work with Cloud Ops to build and implement Cloud cost management policies, including guidelines for prioritization, tagging conventions, and cost optimization standard methodologies.
- Apply data analytics tools to identify correlations between Cloud usage and business drivers, crafting predictive models to forecast future Cloud spending.
- Conduct monthly check-ins with Cloud collaborators, work with teams to understand Cloud usage, provide education on efficiency, and factor in cost when making design decisions.
- Partner with Product Teams, Technical Architects, Developers, and Tech Leads to understand the technology roadmap for modernization.
- Support the Cloud budget/forecast process for Cloud consumption, optimization, and savings.

Qualifications:
- 8+ years of product execution / technical business experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years relevant experience and a Master's degree.
- Proficient knowledge of Cloud platforms and their pricing models.
- Superb communication and collaboration skills: proficient in articulating facts, thoughts, and ideas clearly and succinctly to senior customers.
- Financial competence in presenting billing, forecasting, and budgeting principles.
- Experience with Agile ways of working using capabilities in Jira and Confluence.
- Experience establishing & managing relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, including the executive level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience demonstrating proficiency in Cloud FinOps and cost management, covering Cloud optimization opportunities, chargeback processes, Cloud budget and forecasting, and tagging governance.
- Certification: Practitioner or other relevant Certifications through FinOps Foundation, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Service, or Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Proficiency in writing SQL or NoSQL queries and/or crafting reports with either relational data or big data.
