About You

You love the process of building things. You have been working on software or gaming projects for years, and it would be a dream for you to use your talent and experience to work on chess. You want to work for a passion-driven company full of warm, funny, brilliant, diverse humans. You are excited about growing the game of chess while ensuring the privacy of our hundreds of millions of users.


What you'll do

  • Work with our Product and Engineering teams to execute on our roadmap
  • Help identify dependencies, constraints, and sequence work as efficiently as possible
  • Work closely with your Product Manager and Engineers to turn product requirements into clear implementation paths
  • Partner with our Engineering, Ads and Legal team in building out our advertisement backend for mobile and web platforms.
  • Coordinate and deliver projects that require a deep understanding of the underlying systems
  • Implement and manage metrics tracking to make sure we can properly track user activity, and monitoring bugs and anomalies
  • Make sure our Notion -> JIRA -> Done flow is smooth
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and ad industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, COPPA)
  • Act as the primary liaison between Ad Operations and Engineering, ensuring operational requirements are clearly translated into scalable technical solutions

Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years of product and/or technical management in tech or gaming
  • Experienced in digital ad technology for app and web platforms with knowledge in developer language and documentation
  • Deep expertise in product management and software development lifecycle
  • Understanding of chess and current chess products and features on the market
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills working in a fully distributed team
  • Sense of ownership and responsibility

About the Opportunity

  • This is a full-time position
  • We are 100% remote (always have been, always will be!)
