The Technical Product Lead will manage API development, oversee team performance, drive monetization strategies, and collaborate on product launches and documentation.
Zerion is seeking a Technical Product Lead to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our API ecosystem, shaping the future of Web3 infrastructure and developer experiences.
What you will do
- Oversee the entire API development process, from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
- Conduct R&D into features such as webhooks and data streaming to evolve the API roadmap.
- Manage the API Team, fostering a cross-functional culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Own performance reviews, hiring support, and scaling decisions for the API team.
- Define and evolve Zerion API’s product vision and roadmap, aligning with market trends and internal KPIs.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive integration of partner APIs and infrastructure.
- Lead monetization strategy by designing, implementing, and managing effective API subscription pricing to drive revenue.
- Collaborate with the growth team to define API adoption metrics, manage positioning strategy, and support product launches.
- Maintain API documentation, SDK instructions, and developer onboarding guides across Zerion’s platform and app interfaces.
- Monitor API health and client behavior using internal dashboards, traffic logs, and analytical tools.
- Deliver insights and liaise with data analyst and finance teams to improve pricing, reliability, and revenue metrics.
- Represent Zerion at conferences, external developer meetups, and hackathons.
- Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- At least three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation such as Product Manager, Ecosystem Manager, Product Growth Manager, or similar.
- Experience must be within the decentralized finance (DeFi) or cryptocurrency industry.
One year of experience must include
- Data analytics using tools including usage telemetry and client dashboards;
- Product analytics tools including Amplitude, Mixpanel, and Plausible;
- Technical writing and documentation, including API documentation, OpenAPI specs, and SDK onboarding
Two years of experience must include
- Defining success metrics through consumer and infrastructure product launches, financial modeling for monetization, and KPI tracking
- Idea generation, storytelling, and solution discovery;
- Stakeholder management and strategic planning;
- Knowledge of decentralized finance and the web3 ecosystem, including experience using decentralized applications Uniswap and Aave; web3 wallets MetaMask and WalletConnect; and knowledge of smart contracts (Ethereum)
- Working directly with external teams to support complex client-facing collaboration and user research
