About the Job

As a Technical Implementation Manager, you will manage technical execution of health system implementations for our diabetic retinopathy screening solution. You will serve as the customer-facing lead for health system implementations, EMR integration, and IT security assessments, while building scalable technical processes to support our rapid growth.

This is a fully remote position based in the United States with regular travel to customer sites. Occasional international travel may be required.

What You'll Do:
  • Technical Leadership:

    • Lead project management and technical execution for multiple concurrent health system implementations, including coordination with Optain Customer Success team.
    • Manage EMR integration projects with Epic, Cerner, Athena, and other major platforms, including HL7, DICOM, and other modes of integration.
    • Complete comprehensive IT security assessments and product evaluations for enterprise customers, including coordination with internal IT and policy owners.
    • Guide customers through key implementation decisions and EMR build considerations to drive on-time delivery and clinical adoption. 
    • Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports for all customer implementations. Identify and escalate issues requiring leadership intervention. 
    • Serve as primary technical liaison between US customers and Optain development team.
  • Integration & Infrastructure:

    • Develop interface approach and specifications for each customer, based on industry and company standards.
    • Develop network connectivity and environment approach for customer testing, training, and production use of Optain.  
    • Coordinate with third-party technical integration partners and EMR vendors as needed to complete customer integrations.
    • Collaborate with Compliance and Security teams to ensure all integrations meet healthcare industry, customer, and Optain security and compliance requirements (such as HIPAA, HITECH, SOC2).
  • Process Development:

    • Continuously improve technical implementation methodology and tools.
    • Build technical expertise within the Customer Success team through structured training.
    • Refine knowledge management systems for technical documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Partner with Customer Success to align technical and operational deliverables.
    • Collaborate with Sales to validate technical feasibility during customer scoping.
    • Support product team with field insights for roadmap prioritization.
    • Coordinate with device logistics partner to ensure deployment readiness.
What You'll Need:
  • 7+ years of healthcare technology implementation and delivery experience with large US health systems
  • Proven track record of deploying cloud-based, EMR-integrated healthcare solutions using interoperability standards 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop scalable processes while navigating the ambiguity of early-stage implementations
  • Experience completing healthcare IT security assessments and vendor evaluations is preferred
  • Experience with integrated FDA-regulated medical devices and primary care clinic operations is preferred
  • Familiarity with AI/ML healthcare applications is preferred

Salary Range:
