Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY
Silvus is seeking a Technical Director, Product Solutions who will report to the Vice President of Product on the Product team.
This role leads select new product initiatives, translating emerging technologies and customer needs into clear, actionable solutions. It owns the full product lifecycle, from concept through launch, while aligning engineering, business goals, and cross-functional teams. The position also drives innovation through technology research and strong stakeholder collaboration.
This position is eligible for 100% remote work depending on location.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the end-to-end conceptualization of new product initiatives, translating emerging technology trends and complex customer requirements into actionable product definitions.
Take primary ownership of the product lifecycle for select solutions, driving them from initial technical feasibility through development and successful market launch.
Define and manage the technical product roadmap for specific portfolios, ensuring alignment between engineering capabilities, business objectives, and MSI-wide technology reuse.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to understand customer needs and associated business requirements.
Research and recommend new technologies for possible inclusion in our solutions and/or business.
Assist in documenting the resulting technical Strategies/Requirements/Solutions and work with various stakeholders to gain alignment and support for the solution.
Support the development team as they implement the overall solution including focused development activities as required.
Reinvigorate the road mapping process, focusing on it from a complete delivery perspective (technology & business processes & sales processes).
Build & extend bridges to the video, command center and other organizations to share technical needs and directions, looking for leverage and reuse across MSI.
Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
Travel Requirement – Up to 25% of the time for meetings, events, and demonstrations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in product management, product line management, or technical product leadership.
Experience with wireless communications, networking, radio frequency systems, or related technologies.
Strong ability to translate operational use cases into scalable product capabilities.
Demonstrated experience influencing cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and business development.
Strong technical aptitude and systems-level thinking.
Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
MBA or advanced Engineering degree.
Experience with tactical mesh networks or similar technologies.
Background supporting defense, aerospace, or government programs.
Familiarity with tactical communications, mesh networking, command-and-control systems, or ISR and sensor data transport.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Office environment.
Trade shows.
Outdoor environment for demonstrations.
Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in the field.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
Lift equipment up to 20 lbs. for the set-up of demonstrations and testing.
COMPENSATION: $185,000 - $220,000 / annually
The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidate’s education, experience and qualifications.
