Technical Data Analyst – Enterprise Systems
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Technical Systems Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems analysis, with a particular emphasis on advanced data modeling techniques and hands-on experience working with modern, scalable data platforms. This role requires excellent technical skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into robust, high-performing technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Modeling and Design: Lead the design and implementation of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for complex data warehousing and analytical systems, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and integrity.
- Systems Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and working closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Modern Data Platforms: Engage in hands-on design, development, and optimization activities utilizing Snowflake and Databricks (or similar modern data lake/warehouse platforms), including performance tuning and resource management.
- Customer-Facing Role: Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. Lead requirements gathering sessions, present solutions, and manage expectations, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery.
- Documentation and Governance: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system flows, data dictionaries, and operational procedures. Ensure data quality and adherence to data governance standards.
- Testing and Deployment: Develop and execute test plans, ensuring the delivered solution meets all functional and performance requirements before deployment.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Information Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Data Modeling Expertise: Proven, in-depth experience with various data modeling techniques (e.g., Dimensional Modeling, 3NF) and practical application in large-scale data environments.
- Modern Data Platforms: Significant hands-on experience working with and developing solutions on cloud-based data platforms, specifically Snowflake and/or Databricks.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong SQL skills are essential. Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable and effective in a customer-facing capacity.
Preferred
- Experience with a major cloud provider's ecosystem (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with data governance tools and best practices.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
