We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions

About the role

You serve as the strategic and technical anchor bridging our Silicon Valley HQ and our Seoul office, at a moment when the Korean government and industry are investing heavily in physical AI. This high-visibility role is designed for an engineer by training, who refuses to choose between technical depth and the business impact of large, strategic deals. You will serve as the definitive expert in the room, possessing the technical authority to lead discovery, while incorporating 'Silicon Valley' speed to master the automotive autonomy capabilities we bring to market.

At Applied Intuition, you will:
  • Own short- and long-term strategy and revenue outlook for Korea market, setting clear priorities across automotive, construction, and other industrial domains

  • Source and engage with potential customers through candidate's own network and market knowledge, working closely with our Korea-based Account Managers

  • Lead customer discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and identify where Applied Intuition's solutions fit

  • Host customer workshops and tailored demonstrations that showcase Applied Intuition's solutions

  • Shape final customer solution with our Product and Engineering teams at HQ, extending existing products or supporting the development of new ones

  • Drive technical scope and business model discussions with customers, and steer proposals through to approvals at customer

We're looking for someone who has:
  • 5–8 years of experience across automotive, construction, and other industrial domains, with ability to guide customers on best practices

  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders across functions to deliver complex projects

  • Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships and drive engagements from first meeting to close

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in parallel

  • Experience working with automotive or industrial software technologies

  • Ability to travel internationally once every 4-6 weeks on average

  • Professional fluency in Korean (written and spoken) to support customers and partners in Korea market

Nice to have:
  • Experience working on a product at a startup from Series A to IPO

  • MBA or equivalent training in business strategy and market development

Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
