About the Job:
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be responsible for overall coordination and follow up of requirements gathering for Data Management related projects, writing Business Requirements as needed for Agile projects, along with assisting in writing Technical Design and Data Lineage Documents. This candidate will also be responsible for tracking the progress of projects and related tasks, which will include tracking follow-ups from meetings, assessing the status of related JIRA tasks and coordinating planned releases
What You’ll Get to Do:
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements
- Conduct thorough analysis of client needs, current systems, and workflows to identify potential gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Translate business requirements into user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, ensuring clear and concise communication to the development team
- Create presentations to be presented to stakeholders and key leadership
- Document business processes and associated risks, assumptions, and dependencies
- Define user stories and associated acceptance criteria
- Create User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation, identifying process scenarios, exceptions, and their expected outcomes
- Work closely with Data Management data architects and data analysts to understand and assist with the creation of their solution design, ensuring they deliver a solution that meets the business requirements
- Participate in a consultative role in solution testing and production implementation
- Manage Use Case Backlog and In Progress items
- Assist in compiling required status reports and dashboards for Line progress
- Work closely with Data Management Line Lead and associated project manager(s) on project timelines, detailed deliverables, and resource allocations. Escalate project issues to the DM Line Lead for quick resolution
- Participate in design discussions and provide valuable insights and suggestions from a functional and user perspective
- Contribute to the creation and review of wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications to ensure that the design effectively addresses business needs and user requirements
- Actively participate in daily stand-ups, providing status updates, addressing any obstacles, and promoting a collaborative and productive work environment
- Identify and track bugs, issues, and risks, working with the development team to address them promptly and effectively
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies
- Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques, such as user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with project management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar
What You’ll Bring with You:
- 4+ years working as a Technical BA
- 4+ years working on Agile projects
- 2-4+ years of SQL experience (Oracle and SQL Server, MongoDB a plus)
- 4+ years of Data Analysis/Trouble shooting
- 4+ years writing Business Requirement, Technical Design and Data Lineage Documents
- Ability to interpret business requirements into technical requirements
- Strong Meeting Facilitator
- Must be able to multi-task effectively
- Great organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
