Who we are About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Marketing Strategy and Operations team is responsible for organizational effectiveness and transformational programs. We help create the processes and conditions for high performance by others. We partner closely with the CMO and the marketing leadership team to drive strategy, operations and planning across the marketing and sales development organization. And we lead programs that make things noticeably better for internal and external users.

What you’ll do

You will partner closely with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) to drive innovation and excellence across global marketing. You’ll lead the Marketing Strategy & Operations team, which is responsible for planning, key initiatives, and running the operating rhythms that keep marketing efficiently moving in sync with Stripe’s broader goals.

You’ll ensure the marketing organization is executing effectively—connecting strategy to action, and maintaining clear communication and accountability across global teams. This role will benefit from experience directly managing marketing teams, and over time there will be opportunities for the person in this role to transition into direct management of marketing teams at Stripe.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CMO and MLT to define and operationalize the global marketing strategy and priorities, bringing Marketing best practices to the organization and serving as an expert advisor.
  • Reinforce and maintain a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the Marketing organization, improving how leadership collaborates and how work is done at all levels
  • Lead annual and quarterly planning processes, ensuring marketing goals are clear, measurable, and aligned to company objectives.
  • Manage the operating cadence for the marketing organization—including leadership meetings, business reviews, goal tracking, and resource prioritization.
  • Lead execution of key global initiatives and cross-functional programs that advance marketing impact, efficiency, and alignment.
  • Ensure effective collaboration with key cross-functional partners including product, sales, systems, design, and communications.
  • Develop and maintain frameworks for prioritization, resource allocation, and program governance.
  • Track progress and communicate outcomes for major marketing initiatives to leadership and key partners.
  • Manage and develop the Marketing Strategy & Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing execution, strategy, operations, or program management roles, ideally within a global, high-growth technology company.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale marketing initiatives or programs across multiple regions and functions.
  • Strong project leadership skills, including the ability to drive clarity, alignment, and follow-through across distributed teams
  • Skilled at building and managing organizational rhythms—planning cycles, operating reviews, and cross-functional workstreams.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator; able to influence at all levels and across geographies.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at creating structure and focus in complex environments.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
