Team Lead, Outreach and Engagement – Agriculture Sector   
Location: Remote - must be located in CA with the ability to travel to the Central Valley and Southern California to be considered

As the Outreach Manager overseeing one or more utility programs in the agriculture sector, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team dedicated to promoting energy efficiency and sustainability to farmers, growers, and other stakeholders within the agriculture community. You will oversee the implementation of energy efficient solutions and ensure that our initiatives positively impact our utility client’s service territory. Your leadership will be crucial in driving innovation, fostering community relationships, and achieving our energy savings goals. Even though this position is remote, it will include some travel within the Central Valley and Southern California.

What you will be doing:  

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of energy efficiency account managers, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to meet their goals. 
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of energy efficiency projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Ensure account managers are working closely with community-based organizations (CBOs), trade allies, subcontractors and other stakeholders to drive utility program participation.  
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee and monitor QA/QC processes to ensure high standards of work and compliance with regulations. 
  • Reporting and Documentation: Manage the collection and organization of project reports and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
  • Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative approaches to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability efforts. 
  • Travel Requirements: Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are up to 25% of the time within the Central Valley and Southern California (reimbursement for mileage provided).

 
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Energy, Sustainability, Business, Agriculture, Environmental or related discipline (one year of professional experience may be substituted for one year of education)  
  • 3+ years of experience in the fields of agriculture (animal science, livestock, horticulture and/or environmental science), utilities, energy efficiency and/or a related field
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

 
What we would like you to have (preferred qualifications):    

  • Strong interest or participation in 4H or FFA (Future Farmers of America)
  • People management experience
  • Proven experience working in the agriculture industry around California
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including community organizations and trade allies
  • Advanced knowledge of agricultural energy efficiency technologies
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$97,699.00 - $166,088.00
