Lead a sales team while managing individual quotas, mentoring team members, and developing account strategies to drive new business and achieve revenue targets.
This is a player/coach role where you own a team number, but you are also responsible for closing deals within the team . This is a great role to cut your teeth in sales management.
- Take on the role of player/coach, holding your own individual quota while managing and being responsible for 1-2 direct reports quota
- Keep AEs on the team productive, accountable and ensure their success in hitting quota via mentorship, coaching, hands on support
- Identify, develop and execute account strategy to develop new business opportunities across the assigned region.
- Scope, negotiate and close sales agreements to exceed booking and revenue targets
- Establish access and maintain existing relationships with key decision makers (superintendents, CAOs, deputies, directors) and understand industry trends and issues.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews, forecasting sessions, and one-on-one performance evaluations to provide real-time feedback and professional development.
- Help drive alignment from the top to the team via accountability on learnings
- Participate directly in complex deals, supporting team members in high-stakes negotiations — not afraid to roll up your sleeves and lead from the front.
- Attend conferences and client events to support the team in action and model effective sales practices.
- Serve as a steward of our PACE-driven culture, leading with positivity, accountability, customer focus, and execution.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience (or proven experience in selling SchooLinks) with 1–2 years in a leadership or mentorship capacity preferred.
- Humble, low ego person who learns from mistakes without excuses.
- Proven track record of hitting quota.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong accountability.
- Strong ability to drive alignment.
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM.
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on deal execution.
