Job Description:

Crowe is currently seeking a Tax Managing Director to join our expanding Tax practice. This position will help lead and manage our growth, supervise staff and work closely with other Directors, Partners and clients. While also supporting clients, you will work with leaders across Tax to design and execute a plan for transitioning work, including necessary standardization and optimization strategies.  This role will require the oversight of client service teams and the proven ability to plan, direct, and execute tax projects with a pro-active focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical transfer pricing services to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with other practice groups within the Washington National Tax (WNT) and International Tax teams to address complex international transfer pricing controversies
  • Conduct WNT reviews of client deliverables, thought leadership articles, and presentation materials, while also performing other risk management activities
  • Provide thought leadership to Tax and Firmwide leadership to support continued, strategic and effective growth
  • Support the growth and development of the transfer pricing team by enhancing their experience and institutional knowledge
  • Leadership of client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment with the goal of exceeding client expectations
  • Develop client service staff and serve as a role model, providing coaching, mentoring, and training

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent required
  • Ph.D. in Finance/Economics or CFA preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in US Taxation, including public accounting and corporate settings
  • Previous experience as a technical resource in a larger public accounting firm and/or law firm
  • Leadership and team building experience
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Self-driven and organized with experience building process and improving efficiencies

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $185,500.00 - $492,000.00 per year.
