POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join our team. In this role, the Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax reporting and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and other applicable taxes. The Tax Manager will collaborate with internal teams and external advisors and assist with tax planning for various corporate transactions. We are looking for a team player who is eager to make a positive impact and grow with us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage tax reporting and compliance with federal, state, local, property, and other applicable taxes.

  • Support the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.

  • Support internal teams in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions from a tax perspective

  • Manage and coordinate the tax provision and compliance process and ensure proper accounting for income taxes in financial statements.

  • Conduct research on tax laws and regulations, monitoring changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on the company’s tax situation to management.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in company tax procedures.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, or related field; CPA certification strongly preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in tax compliance, corporate tax planning, or a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate/partnership tax. Tax equity partnership experience is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Renewable energy experience preferred.

WORK AUTHORIZATION

The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US prior to joining TransGrid Energy LLC. The Company will not sponsor or offer assistance with the sponsorship for work authorization in the United States.
