A business management firm is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated tax professional to support its busy finance team. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and strong communication abilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative setting and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex tax filings for various entities, including corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, nonprofits, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Support quality control by reviewing returns for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with planning and compliance for international tax matters, including related forms and filings.
  • Review and guide quarterly tax projections, ensuring timely communication of estimated payments.
  • Oversee year-end processes such as shareholder bonus distributions.
  • Maintain tax compliance procedures and ensure adherence to internal policies.
  • Delegate, monitor, and manage tasks assigned to junior staff.
  • Assist with annual 1099 reporting compliance.
  • Draft tax correspondence and oversee responses to audits and notices.
  • Support the formation and dissolution of entities, including preparation of incorporation documents and tax elections.
  • Serve as a resource for tax software inquiries and support.
  • Review state-level filings such as franchise tax and annual reports.
  • Contribute to billing processes for tax services provided.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a firm that supports high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, or clients in the entertainment or creative industries.
  • Ability to work onsite and commute as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong command of QuickBooks, Excel, and professional tax software platforms.
  • CPA license required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a tax-focused role.
