Job Description

The Tax Manager/Senior Manager will have the opportunity to utilize your technical tax, analytical, operational, management, and client service skills with real estate clients.

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as client’s trusted advisor, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team
  • Manage compliance and consulting in areas of Section 1031 exchange, Section 754 step-up, Section 163(j) interest limitation, Section 1231 gain/loss calculations as well as an ability to analyze and implement certain aspects of partnership/LLC operating agreements with respect to tax applications.
  • Serve as client’s trusted advisor, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team.
  • Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.
  • Understand the client’s organization, procedures, and internal policies.
  • Understanding your clients’ goals and needs and servicing clients directly.
  • Owning client relationships and work.
  • Strategizing with Managing Directors regarding planning.
  • Provide clients with recommendations and guidance on how to achieve their goals and assist in identifying opportunities for growth with clients.
  • Researching tax and accounting issues and providing guidance to clients.
  • Working closely with staff, and assisting senior management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.
  • Foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive culture.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
    • 7 years experience in public accounting or related field
    • 5 years supervisory
    • Must have and preserve required licenses 
    • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
    • Proficient use of applicable technology
    • Must be able to travel based on business needs

    Additional Information

    Salary: $145,000 - $190,000
