The Impact of a Talent Strategy Analyst to Coupa:
As a critical member of the Talent Strategy team, the Talent Strategy Analyst works globally across our organization supporting strategic initiatives that support the short and long-term needs of our organization. Using sound methods and expertise, the Analyst coordinates and manages implementation of initiatives that fuel scalable growth, foster employee engagement, drive productivity, and streamline processes and decision-making. Partnering with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence (COE), and business leaders, this position will support implementation of processes and tools that engage and empower the modern workforce and puts the employee at the center of the work environment.
With exceptional communication skills, this position will help drive specific interventions to maintain a simple organizational model, a foundation for scalable growth, and be effective and efficient in how we execute work. The Talent Strategy Analyst will be instrumental in executing programming that supports and aligns with our strategic plan. In this dynamic and visible role, the Analyst will act as a key contributor to the achievement of our overall HR strategy and global growth.
What You'll Do:
- Using proven OE methodologies in the areas of organizational design, change management, team effectiveness and workforce planning; adapting them to meet the unique needs of each project and/or initiative
- Developing executive-level presentations, training documents, and supporting sites and materials related to performance, talent, and succession related to OE, talent management, talent development, and engagement that provide guidance for HR Business Partners, senior leaders, and people leaders with implementing initiatives
- Researching new trends and approaches in OE, talent management, talent development, and engagement to develop effective solutions for current and future organizational challenges
- Supporting implementation of enterprise wide or multi-business unit organizational design initiatives from executive vision through implementation to ensure alignment and/or enablement of business strategy to improve business outcomes
- Supporting execution of strategic workforce planning initiatives from executive vision through implementation to ensure alignment and/or enablement of business strategy to fuel scalable growth, with significant ownership of elements of work product
- Working collaboratively across HR to manage execution of focused global and/or regional initiatives in support of organizational and HR specific strategic goals objectives (e.g., improve engagement, enhance employee experience, increase productivity, drive retention)
- Partnering with Workforce Analytics and HR Business Partners to translate data into actionable reports and plans for execution at the enterprise and business unit level
- Documenting processes to identify and align involved stakeholders on clear ownership of activities and decisions
- Conducting analysis to provide insights on the impact of strategic decisions on the business and its’ employees, collaborating with HR Business Partners and leaders across the organization to validate analysis
- Creating communications of all relevant information to stakeholders – executive team for approvals, HRBPs for education, people leaders and employees for explanation/participation
- Establishing and maintaining credible, professional relationships with HRBPs, other HR COEs Communications team, and other internal partners, as well as external vendors
- Collaborating with business leaders, cross-functional teams, and HR Business Partners to identify system, process and capability changes and gain alignment for recommended actions by using internal/external resources as needed
- Supporting the facilitation of workshops, sessions, and training to produce specified outcomes aligned with organizational strategy
- Providing objective feedback and challenging assumptions with courage and professionalism
- Measuring the effectiveness of programs and driving the continuous improvement/evolution of programs based on organization growth and changes in industry trends
- Contributing expertise and leadership to enhance effectiveness of our Global HR team through operational management, managing multiple priorities, and driving strategic initiatives
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- 3+ years of progressive, relevant experience including working successfully with cross-functional teams to drive change
- Proven experience in organizational effectiveness, talent management, Talent development, and/or workforce planning
- Analytical and problem-solving skills that involve critical thinking, decision-making, and creativity to come up with solutions that support strategic business objectives
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills (written and verbal); ability to develop and present clear and concise messages to diverse groups at all levels of an organization and design all related materials
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications including advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, project management and decision-making skills with a bias toward action
