Healthcare quality is declining and soaring costs are crushing American families and businesses. At Garner, we’ve developed a revolutionary approach to evaluating doctor performance and a unique incentive model that's reshaping the healthcare economy to ensure everyone can afford high quality care. By providing organizations relief from surging healthcare costs, we've experienced rapid adoption in the market and have more than doubled our revenue annually over the last 5 years, becoming the fastest growing company in our space. To support our continued growth, we're expanding our team by over 50% each year, seeking exceptional talent to shape our unique, award winning culture (for example, USA Today Top Workplaces 2025) designed to cultivate teamwork, trust, autonomy, exceptional results, and individual growth that creates an inflection point in your career.
We’re looking for a Talent Management & Total Rewards Manager to join and help shape our next-generation People function. In this hands-on leadership role, you will own the design, management, and continuous improvement of Garner’s job architecture, performance processes, compensation programs, employee benefits, and People tech systems. You will be key in developing the infrastructure for a distinctive, exceptionally high-performance organization–using your subject matter expertise as an input, but building from first principles. This role reports to the Head of People.
This position can be either remote or hybrid in our NYC office.
What you will do:- Lead the continuous development of Garner’s performance, internal movement, and compensation infrastructure.
- Directly manage bi-annual performance reviews, promotions, and compensation planning cycles.
- Develop employee and manager-facing tools and training around Talent Management and Total Rewards.
- Manage and evolve Garner’s job architecture (job families, leveling, competency framework, pay bands, etc.) and compensation programs (equity incentive plans, bonus/commission structures, etc.)
- Own the design and administration of healthcare benefits, ancillary benefits, 401k plan, and perks.
- Operate as the “product manager” for People systems, tools, and operational workflows; drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency/automation.
- Design and manage People Analytics dashboards; use data to continually assess organizational health and identify areas for improvement.
- Partner on complex change management initiatives; lead projects or provide support in any area of the People function as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in the People/HR space, with 2+ years in a Talent Management and/or Total Rewards leadership role at a modern pay-for-performance organization. Product and/or Consulting experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets abilities are required for this role. Experience building scalable compensation planning tools and people analytics dashboards strongly preferred.
- A combination of high ownership mentality, agility, and exceptional project management skills that has resulted in a proven track record of delivering complex initiatives in a rapidly evolving, high-bar environment.
- A deep interest and nuanced understanding of innovative, needle-moving performance and compensation practices.
- Experience with healthcare benefits design and administration preferred.
- Strong written communication and an eye for visual design (tools, training, etc.)
- Passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience, and a desire to be a part of our mission to improve the healthcare system.
- A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success.
The base salary range for this position is $150,000- $185,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
