Job Description Summary:
SOLV Energy is seeking a Talent Development Specialist to provide expertise in instructional design, eLearning development and project management . Collaborating closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs), the Talent Development Specialist will develop, produce and implement resources to enhance learning and guarantee that training meets the varied needs of our organization.Position can be fully remote or based in San Diego, CA.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across the organization
Coordinate with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather, organize and produce content
Develop instructional materials (e.g., online courses, job aids and knowledge articles)
Create best practices for learning content creation for stakeholders and SMEs
Design innovative and interactive digital learning solutions (including eLearning modules, simulations, videos and other multimedia assets) as well as in-person training content (including virtual instructor-led training (VILT), workshops and on-the-job training course work)
Develop instructional materials, including storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, participant materials and assessments
Support learning transfer using UI/UX best practices
Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration
Use reporting features to monitor the frequency of use and satisfaction levels
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
3+ years of experience developing content designed for learning and employee role support
2+ years of experience using eLearning software (e.g., Captivate, Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, etc.)
Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
Experience incorporating activities, videos, and simulations to enrich course offerings
Experience designing instructor-led content for both in-person and virtual delivery
Experience in designing for asynchronous, synchronous and blended learning environments
Experience writing new learning content and editing existing content, consistent with a style guide
Success in applying creative problem-solving, design thinking, disruptive innovation and content design skills
Experience applying change management to projects
Proven track record of using effective consultative skills and processes
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook) and a general comfort level working with technology systems
Preferred Skills or Experience:
Experience using AI personally in work processes and evangelizing the use of AI to others
Experience editing video and audio content
Experience managing a portfolio of learning content
Experience creating graphics (e.g., icons, motion graphics, 3-D, etc.) to support learning
