Ventura Coastal is seeking a passionate and innovative Talent Development Specialist to lead our employee learning and development initiatives. What You'll Do

As our Talent Development Specialist, you'll serve as an internal consultant and strategic partner to leaders across the organization by:

  • Designing and delivering engaging instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning training programs
  • Developing leadership development programs for supervisors, managers, and emerging leaders
  • Creating career pathways, competency models, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
  • Facilitating new hire orientation and onboarding programs
  • Conducting training needs assessments and developing customized learning solutions
  • Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that support operational excellence
  • Supporting succession planning and internal talent development initiatives
  • Developing learning materials, videos, job aids, workbooks, and interactive training resources
  • Monitoring training effectiveness and using data to continuously improve learning programs
  • Managing compliance training including Safety, GMP, HACCP, SQF, Harassment Prevention, Ethics, and Company Policies
  • Maintaining learning records and training documentation through Paycom
  • Partnering with HR, Operations, Quality, Safety, and Production leaders to build organizational capability
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organizational Development, Corporate Training, or Human Resources
  • Experience designing and facilitating leadership development programs
  • Strong instructional design and curriculum development experience
  • Experience creating eLearning content and utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence leaders at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, food production, or industrial environments

  • Experience developing competency models, career pathways, and succession planning initiatives
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, organizational development, coaching, change management, and learning analytics

Compensation

Pay Range: $89,000 - $95,000 annually (bonus potential for achieving performance goals.)

Salary offers will vary and will be determined by the candidate’s work experience, education, skills, and certifications.
