The Talent Acquisition Partner serves as the centralized talent acquisition resource supporting Votaw Precision Technologies, affiliated portfolio companies, and future growth initiatives. This role partners with business leaders across multiple locations and functions to develop workforce strategies, build talent pipelines, and lead full-cycle recruitment efforts that support operational growth and organizational capability.

The ideal candidate brings experience recruiting within advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or engineering environments and possesses a strong understanding of the technical talent required to support precision machining, quality, operations, and engineering functions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the organization can attract and retain the specialized talent necessary to support customer commitments, business expansion, and long-term success.

Requirements

Essential Functions

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for skilled trades, engineering, quality, operations, finance, supply chain, and leadership positions. 
  • Partner with business leaders to develop workforce plans supporting growth, capacity expansion, and succession initiatives. 
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for critical, hard-to-fill manufacturing, engineering, quality, and leadership positions within the aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
  • Assess technical qualifications, industry experience, and cultural fit through structured interviewing and talent evaluation methodologies. 
  • Develop sourcing strategies leveraging professional networks, industry associations, technical schools, military transition programs, and passive candidate outreach. 
  • Support hiring initiatives within AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, and defense-regulated environments. 
  • Utilize recruiting analytics and market intelligence to drive hiring effectiveness, reduce time-to-fill, and improve quality-of-hire.
  • Establish recruiting strategies aligned with organizational objectives, production demands, and customer delivery requirements.
  • Conduct candidate screening, interviewing, and skills qualification assessments. 
  • Coordinate pre-employment screening activities and partner with HR Operations to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Manage and maintain applicant tracking systems.
  • Establish and manage talent acquisition dashboards and reporting mechanisms, providing executive leadership with actionable insights on hiring performance, talent pipeline health, workforce risks, and market conditions.
  • Support M&A activity, facility expansions, new program launches, and strategic growth initiatives through workforce planning and talent acquisition execution.
  • Drive employer branding initiatives that strengthen the company's reputation as an employer of choice within the aerospace and defense manufacturing sectors.
  • Lead recruiting process improvements, standardization efforts, and talent acquisition best practices across the organization.
  • Partner with HR leadership on labor market intelligence and compensation benchmarking to support recruiting strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5- 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience supporting aerospace, defense, precision machining, advanced manufacturing, or engineering organizations. 
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting highly specialized technical and leadership talent.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining operations, manufacturing processes, engineering functions, and quality systems. 
  • Experience recruiting within regulated manufacturing environments. 
  • Proven ability to evaluate technical competencies through structured interviewing methodologies. 
  • Expertise in passive candidate sourcing and talent market intelligence. 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and consultative recruiting skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-growth, and highly regulated environments.

Work Conditions

  • Ability to work onsite, including hours outside of a normal working day, to meet critical deadlines. 

Additional Requirements

  • This position requires the use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
