Allow us to introduce ourselves

Hello there! We’re Appinio, a global market research company that combines an AI-powered insights platform with expert consultancy. On a mission to make the world a little more fact-based, we help companies understand how consumers think and make smarter decisions.

We started out in Hamburg back in 2014, but we’re now humbled to call the world our playground, with over 260 employees spread across 13 countries (we’re remote-first), 2600+ international clients, delivering research from +190 markets, globally.

Want to be a part of the Appinio movement? 🚀

Here at Appinio, we value transparency in our recruitment process, and we've created a blog to share what to expect during each step of our journey together: here

Your mission as a Talent Acquisition Partner

We're looking for a proactive and driven Talent Acquisition Partner to help scale our business globally.
In this role, you'll own end-to-end hiring across business and technical functions, partnering closely with hiring managers to attract, engage, and hire exceptional talent. As a trusted advisor, you'll provide market insights, challenge assumptions, and help shape hiring decisions.
This role goes far beyond managing recruitment processes: We are looking for someone who thrives on identifying talent, proactively building pipelines, optimizing hiring strategies, and continuously improving recruitment outcomes through data and insights.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own end-to-end recruitment across business roles while also managing some and technical roles
  • Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs and recruitment strategies
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing market insights and influencing hiring decisions
  • Build and execute proactive sourcing strategies across the DACH region and other key markets (France, Spain, UK, US, Latam)
  • Create and nurture talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Use recruitment data to identify bottlenecks and continuously improve hiring effectiveness
  • Leverage ATS and recruitment technologies to streamline processes and reporting
  • Stay up to date on market trends, sourcing best practices, and emerging recruiting technologies
  • Own employer branding initiatives like our "Life at Appinio" Blog and strengthen our position as an employer of choice

You will thrive in this role if

  • You have a university degree and 3–5 years of end-to-end in-house recruiting experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • You have successfully hired across business functions, and have been exposed to hiring for tech roles
  • You understand and have an interest learning about the Market Research industry and key target talent pools
  • You bring strong recruiting experience in the DACH market; experience in the UK, France, Spain, Latam or the US is a plus
  • You are an exceptional sourcer with a proven track record of generating hires through proactive outreach
  • You are confident partnering with and constructively challenging hiring managers
  • You use data and metrics to drive decisions and improve hiring outcomes
  • You proactively identify opportunities and solve problems rather than simply executing requests
  • You have extensive experience with ATS and recruitment technology, ideally Greenhouse and/or Ashby
  • You are highly organized, fluent in English, and able to manage multiple hiring processes simultaneously
  • You are passionate about staying ahead of industry trends, particularly in AI and automation

What’s in it for you?

  • Flexibility Policy - Our flexibility policy means there is no hard cap on the number of vacation days you can take
  • Temporary work from abroad - If you're based in the EU, you can work outside your country of residence for up to 180 days per year
  • All the hardware you need and your own MacBook
  • If you are located in Hamburg or Berlin, you'll get a Deutschland ticket or access to a mobility budget with the NAVIT app to get you to and from the office space
  • Subsidised Urban Sports Club or ClassPass membership based on location
  • In case you’re located in one of the cities where most of our fellow Appinioneers are (Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, London, Madrid, Barcelona, or New York), you can get access to our Co-working spaces

Our interview process

  • Screening Call with our Director of People & Culture
  • Interview with our Team Lead Talent Acquisition & People Operations
  • Case Study Interview with Senior members of the People Team
  • Executive Interview with C-Level
  • Reference Calls
  • Offer

Kind reminder: Please ensure that your application is submitted in English.

This post not only outlines our ideal candidate but also serves as an inspiration for what this role can evolve into. Even if you consider yourself an 80% fit but have a genuine passion for this position, we encourage you to apply. We're eager to hear from individuals who share our enthusiasm.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
