As our Talent Acquisition Manager, you'll play a critical role in building the future of Steer Health. You’ll be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent across all departments—sales, engineering, product, customer success, marketing, and more. You’ll work closely with hiring managers and department heads to identify needs, shape hiring strategies, and deliver an excellent candidate experience.

This is a high-impact role in a fast-growing, high-ownership environment—ideal for someone who thrives in a startup setting and wants to help scale a company from the inside out.

Requirements
What You’ll Do
  • Own full-cycle recruiting across multiple functions (technical and non-technical)
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and candidate profiles
  • Source and engage top-tier talent through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and creative outreach
  • Manage interview pipelines, schedule panels, and ensure timely and transparent communication throughout the process
  • Continuously improve recruiting workflows, candidate experience, and internal coordination
  • Track and report on recruiting metrics, using data to drive better outcomes
  • Represent Steer’s brand with professionalism, clarity, and enthusiasm
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (in-house or agency), preferably in SaaS or healthcare
  • Experience hiring across multiple departments, including sales, operations, and engineering
  • Proven ability to source hard-to-find candidates and build pipelines in competitive markets
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities
  • Familiar with tools like Workable, Greenhouse, or Lever (we currently use Workable)
  • Bonus: experience hiring in healthcare or B2B SaaS environments
Benefits
Why You’ll Love Working at Steer
  • High Ownership: You’ll be the first dedicated recruiter helping shape the future of the company
  • Remote & Flexible: Work from anywhere in the U.S. with flexible hours
  • Mission-Driven: Help bring innovation to a space that truly needs it—healthcare
  • Growth Opportunities: Be part of a growing team where your contributions directly impact the company’s success

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
