At IRIS Software Group, our people are behind everything we achieve – building our products, supporting our customers and helping our business grow.

As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you’ll help us find, attract and hire great people across our North American business.

This is a hands-on recruitment role for someone with experience in Talent Acquisition, internal recruitment, agency recruitment or candidate sourcing who wants to take ownership of vacancies, build strong relationships with hiring managers and continue developing their recruitment career within a global software business.

Please note: our wider Talent Acquisition team is primarily based in the UK, so you’ll need to work within the Eastern Time Zone to provide sufficient overlap with the team.

🧾 What Will You Actually Do?

You’ll manage vacancies from initial briefing through to offer, working closely with hiring managers and candidates throughout the process.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Meeting hiring managers to understand their vacancies, priorities and ideal candidate profiles.

  • Creating and advertising clear, engaging job opportunities.

  • Reviewing CVs and applications to identify suitable candidates.

  • Conducting candidate screening calls and initial interviews.

  • Proactively sourcing and approaching candidates, particularly through LinkedIn and other recruitment channels.

  • Building candidate pipelines for current and future vacancies.

  • Coordinating interviews, assessments and recruitment activity.

  • Advising hiring managers throughout the selection process.

  • Keeping candidates informed and providing a positive experience.

  • Supporting offers and candidate negotiations.

  • Keeping recruitment systems and candidate information accurate and up to date.

  • Managing multiple vacancies and making sure recruitment activity keeps moving.

You’ll have ownership of your day-to-day recruitment activity while working closely with the wider Talent Acquisition team for support, collaboration and knowledge sharing.

👥 Who Will You Work With?

You’ll join our global Talent Acquisition team, with your recruitment primarily focused across North America.

You could recruit for teams including:

Sales | Customer Operations | Professional Services | Managed Payroll Services | Product | Engineering | Finance | Operations

That means plenty of variety. You could be recruiting a salesperson one day and a payroll professional, implementation consultant or technology specialist the next.

You’ll build a broad understanding of IRIS while developing relationships with hiring managers across different parts of the business.

🔎 What Are We Looking For?

You could currently be working as a:

Talent Acquisition Advisor | Talent Acquisition Specialist | Recruiter | Corporate Recruiter | Internal Recruiter | Recruitment Consultant | Talent Sourcer

We’d particularly like to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience managing vacancies through different stages of the recruitment lifecycle.

  • Experience screening and interviewing candidates.

  • Experience proactively sourcing candidates, including through LinkedIn.

  • Confidence working directly with hiring managers or clients.

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

  • The ability to manage several vacancies and priorities at the same time.

  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication.

  • Good judgement when assessing candidate suitability.

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.

  • Confidence using recruitment systems, ATS platforms and sourcing tools.

  • A proactive approach to keeping recruitment processes moving.

  • A strong focus on providing candidates with a positive experience.

Experience recruiting within software, SaaS, technology, payroll, professional services or B2B organisations would be useful, but isn’t essential.

🌱 What Can You Develop at IRIS?

You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your recruitment delivery while continuing to develop your expertise across:

  • Full lifecycle recruitment.

  • Direct sourcing and talent pipelining.

  • Candidate interviewing and assessment.

  • Hiring manager partnering.

  • Offer management and candidate engagement.

  • Recruitment systems, data and reporting.

  • Recruiting across different commercial, operational and technical disciplines.

You’ll also gain exposure to teams and leaders across our North American business while working alongside an experienced global Talent Acquisition team.

💰 What’s On Offer?

You’ll receive a base salary of approximately $45,000–$55,000 depending on experience, plus uncapped commission.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your Talent Acquisition career within a global software organisation, broaden the types of roles you recruit for and build relationships across different areas of the business.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
