Position Purpose:
The Takeoff Specialist is a subject matter expert dedicated to orchestrating the workflow for blueprint takeoffs, managing cross-functional project plans, and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed and deadlines are met. They support outside sales field partners by providing specific training, expertise, and project management centered around driving blueprint takeoffs for managed account customers. Their mission aligns with The Home Depot’s objective to equip Pro customers with end-to-end solutions for planned purchases.
Key Responsibilities:
70% - Delivery and Execution - Project manage all aspects of the exterior jobs requested from the blueprint takeoff. Partner across THD teams and suppliers to fully support the total project scope. Prepare for and conduct customer blueprint takeoff pre-call meetings. Follow-up with takeoff supplier, internal quoting teams, and others to meet SLAs specific to the customer project for on time execution.
10% - Planning - Participate in project prioritization, preparation, and planning.
20% - Team and Stakeholder Management - Partner with internal teams to improve product offerings, services, and needs that support the takeoff business. Attend team meetings and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional partners for strategic alignment. Partner and support market leaders for training needs, performance updates, and feedback

Physical Requirements:
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2+ years of construction estimations and/or takeoff experience
1-2+ years experience reading and interpreting blueprint reading and plans
Ability to read and understand architectural and structural plan sets
Experience with single and multi-family building trades and process
Home Depot quoting and selling systems preferred
Salesforce
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Demonstrated project management skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Minimum Education:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
