We are seeking a skilled and service-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team. This role is primarily focused on maintaining and supporting our clients' existing IT environments, with an emphasis on Azure server support, Intune tools and configurations, conditional access policies, and Group Policy administration. This is a remote/hybrid position that requires daily travel to client sites across Los Angeles County. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in the field while collaborating with a seasoned technical team.

Job Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Remote/Hybrid – Daily Travel to Client Sites in LA County
Compensation: Starting at $38/hr ($80K salary), OT eligible, with strong potential for rapid growth and promotion. ​

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support for corporate clients across local and wide area networks.
  • Maintain and optimize existing IT environments, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, prioritize, and resolve technical issues in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Support and administer Azure-based servers and services.
  • Configure and manage Intune tools, including device policies, application deployment, and compliance settings.
  • Implement and maintain conditional access policies.
  • Assist with Group Policy administration and rollout.
  • Provide moderate-level support for Active Directory environments.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in network and server support.
  • At least 1 year of experience in virtual/cloud environments.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Active Directory (AD), including permissions, groups, and administration.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, and RDP/Terminal Server.
  • Strong familiarity with Office 365, including mail management and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in network and internet connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience with multi-factor authentication tools (e.g., Duo, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator).
  • Exposure to SharePoint and Azure services is highly desirable.
  • Experience with VoIP deployment and VLANs is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily desk-based work using computer systems.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds) for office or IT equipment.
  • Occasional crawling, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Frequent use of computer (keyboard/mouse) and phone.
  • Regular visual inspection and data analysis.
  • Daily travel by car to client sites within LA County; occasional air travel may be required.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions during travel.
