In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.

KBR has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This position requires a Secret clearance and offers a hybrid schedule.

This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on our country’s defense acquisition and contracts process. As a Systems Engineer, you will leverage your experience with Space Systems Command and the DoD acquisition system to directly assist the SML, ML, and IPTs leads coordinating between Space, Ground, and Crypto to achieve timely development, integration and tests.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in a systems engineering discipline including systems architecture/design 
  • 7+ years of experience with hardware design/development/production/integration 
  • Knowledge of DoD system engineering and program and project management processes 
  • Experience performing systems engineering for satellite systems
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients and contractor teammates 
  • Secret clearance  
  • Bachelor’s Degree 

Desired:

  • Experience with Space Systems Command and the DoD acquisition system

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $128,300 - $192,400

This salary range is for California only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
