ABOUT THE JOB

The Systems Analyst, Customer Operations builds the internal tools and dashboards that power RADAR’s Deployment Management System and streamline Customer Operations.

You will design and deliver low-code solutions, API integrations, and data-driven dashboards that improve internal workflows, enhance stakeholder visibility, and strengthen customer-facing communications.

Working closely with Operations, Deployment, Support, and Engineering, you’ll bridge operational needs with technical execution to create scalable, efficient solutions that drive better decision-making and faster deployments.

ABOUT YOU

Required:

  • You have 3+ years of hands-on experience building internal tools, workflow automations, or operational dashboards (in low-code or traditional environments).
  • You have proficiency in JavaScript and SQL for building and customizing internal tools.
  • You have hands-on experience with low-code platforms (Retool preferred) and API integrations.
  • You have strong understanding of API lifecycle management — authentication, rate limits, versioning, and error handling.
  • You have ability to work with REST APIs and connect to data sources (SQL; familiarity with Redis is a plus).
  • You have strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • You are an analytical thinker with the ability to translate operational challenges into scalable technical solutions.
  • You have strong communication and documentation skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical teams.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred:

  • You have familiarity with React.js and Next.js for front-end customization.
  • You have exposure to cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • You have working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.
  • You have a background in retail operations, deployment workflows, or customer support systems.
  • You have experience with process improvement frameworks (Lean/Six Sigma) or similar.

In your first 30 days, you will:

  • Learn RADAR’s mission, technology stack, and core values.
  • Complete onboarding and security compliance training.
  • Familiarize yourself with RADAR’s Deployment Management System, Retool platform, and internal SQL data sources.
  • Deep dive into Operational processes to understand current tooling dependencies and data flows.
  • Audit current internal dashboards, trackers, and reporting workflows to identify usability gaps.
  • Meet with stakeholders to capture high-priority pain points and quick-win opportunities.
  • Review existing API documentation and data integration points to understand the current architecture.

In your first 60 days, you will:

  • Build your first Retool dashboard or tracker that improves visibility for deployment progress or issue tracking.
  • Connect a new REST API or SQL data source to centralize deployment-related data.
  • Implement at least one improvement that enhances customer-facing reporting or communications.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to streamline data pipelines for operational tools.
  • Draft clear technical documentation for your initial tools and integrations.

In your first 90 days, you will:

  • Launch a scaled internal dashboard or feature that integrates with multiple APIs or databases.
  • Formalize a playbook for dashboard building and API integrations to support future solutions.
  • Deliver a consolidated Deployment Tracker for real-time operational insights.
  • Deliver a consolidated Support Tracker for real-time insights.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify next-phase enhancements for the Deployment Management System.
  • Share learnings and mentor colleagues on Retool best practices and low-code extensibility.

At RADAR, your pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role is an exempt position with a salary range of $90,000-$140,000. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors,  including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including: equity, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, life and disability benefits, 401k plan,  flexible time off, and paid parental leave. The pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

Research has shown that women & underrepresented minorities are more likely to read lists of requirements and consider themselves unqualified if they don't meet every single one. This list represents what we're ideally looking for, but everyone has unique strengths & weaknesses, and we hire for strength & potential, not lack of weakness.

Use of artificial intelligence or a LLM such as ChatGPT during the interview process will be grounds for rejection of your application process.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
