About the Role
The Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting Personified's technology infrastructure and ensuring smooth operations for our clients. This position works closely with the Principal Engineer and the broader IT team to implement, maintain, and troubleshoot various systems and technologies. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of IT best practices and a passion for providing excellent technical support.
This position reports to the Sr. Engineering Manager
Responsibilities Overview:
- Proactively monitor and maintain the stability and performance of client and internal systems.
- Implement and configure new hardware and software as directed by the Principal Engineer.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to client devices, networks, and applications.
- Provide technical support to end-users, including remote assistance and on-site support as needed.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of client SaaS platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom).
- Maintain and update system documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Assist the Principal Engineer in the planning and execution of IT projects, including network upgrades, system migrations, and security enhancements.
- Participate in system audits and assist in the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Manage client devices using MDM / RMM platforms and automations
- Contribute to the development and improvement of IT processes and procedures.
- Provide technical support to clients, including troubleshooting issues and answering questions.
- Assist in the training of clients on the use of various technologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi).
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with common IT protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with MDM platforms (Addigy, NinjaOne preferred)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with Scripting - Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash to streamline system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Experience with Cross-platform Systems Administration - Administering and supporting heterogeneous environments spanning Windows Server, macOS, and Linux systems with expertise in managing enterprise deployments across multiple operating systems.
- Experience with API Integration & Development is a plus - Designing and implementing custom integrations using APIs and scripting languages to extend platform capabilities and automating workflows across business systems.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a plus - Designing and implementing identity and access management solutions including SSO, federation, certificate-based authentication, and directory services across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
