As an IT Systems Administrator, working in the ESS IT shared services business, you will be engaged to install, configure, analyze, diagnose and resolve issues with complex engineering systems. The work includes new as well as the upgrade of existing systems. The position is responsible for the functionality and compatibility of systems in both test and production environments. The candidate must demonstrate a strong focus on automation, continuous improvement, cybersecurity compliance and regular operations and maintenance.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience with System Administration and support and have a proven track record of ensuring applications stability, performance, and security, while driving process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime. The candidate should be a self-starter where some assignments are often self-initiated, have excellent communication skills and work seamlessly in a team environment as well as independently.

Full-Time Salary Range: $96623 - $164259

Required Skills:
- Experience as a systems administrator including management, maintenance, configuration, and optimization in a high-availability environment.
- Experience in following processes and procedures to standardize Application installations and configuration, ensuring consistency and best practices.
- Experience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes using Unix shell scripting or other scripting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong experience with UNIX environments including Red Hat Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively, with a "can-do" attitude and a resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Experience with patch management, ensuring application compliance security and stability.
- Experience monitoring alert logs, OEM, and system alerts, with the ability to act on results.
- Willingness to participate in rotational 24 x 7 on-call Production support, ensuring timely resolution of production issues.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred Skills and Education:
- Experience administrating Enterprise level PLM or PDM systems such as PTC Windchill or Dassault 3DExperience.
- Experience connecting applications to support Digital Engineering transformation.
- UNIX scripting skills to automate compliance controls and other maintenance activity
- Experience with EMSO Solarwinds monitoring for servers and their applications.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with and manage stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a focus on staying current with emerging technologies and trends.
