Responsibilities:
- System Setup and Configuration: Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, and peripheral equipment. Install software applications and ensure systems are fully operational for end-users.
- User Support: Provide direct support to users for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting problems, guiding users through corrective steps, or escalating issues as necessary.
- Maintenance and Updates: Perform regular maintenance tasks, system updates, and security checks to ensure all equipment is running efficiently and securely.
- Support-Related Activities: Carry out a range of activities that support the IT department's objectives, such as inventory management, documentation, and participating in IT projects.
- Training: Assist in training employees on the use of new software or hardware, promoting best practices in cybersecurity and efficient use of IT resources.
- Proven experience in an IT support role with a focus on user support and system setup.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Occasional lifting of IT equipment and participation in after-hours support may be required.
- Since this role involves regularly reading emails in Chinese, proficiency in Chinese would be a strong plus.
