Atomica is a U.S.-based microfabrication foundry that builds advanced platforms for AI hardware, photonics, sensors, MEMS, and biotechnology devices. Atomica supports customers developing AI optical connectivity, AI optical source integration, photonic integration, thermal microstructures, physical AI sensors, MEMS optical control systems, and biotechnology microdevices with rapid prototyping and scalable production.

Atomica is seeking a System Administrator to support and maintain the enterprise’s systems, software, and network infrastructure, while managing day-to-day help desk operations. As part of Atomica’s aggressive adoption of AI, this role will use AI-enabled tools to improve technical support, automate routine administration, accelerate problem resolution, and identify opportunities to increase employee productivity. This role requires hands-on experience with desktop administration, network systems, and Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, comfortable adopting emerging technologies, and capable of delivering secure, reliable, and efficient IT support in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Objectives:
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including user access, security settings, and application management.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems running Windows
  • Provide system support for local area networks (LAN) and manage related infrastructure.
  • Maintain IT hardware, software, and service inventory across the organization.
  • Manage internal help desk operations and coordinate with external IT service providers as needed.
  • Support cloud-based business applications (e.g., CRM, ERP) in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • FabOps alpha testing, issue reporting, and user coordination
  • Assist with server and infrastructure configuration to support enterprise operations.
  • Ensure consistent system performance and contribute to ongoing maintenance and improvement efforts.
Capabilities:
  • 2+ years of experience in IT systems support or administration.
  • Laptop, desktop, printer, mobile-device configuration
  • Microsoft Windows and MS 365 administration
  • Microsoft Azure, React, MS.NET, C#, SQL, Github, Power BI
  • AI-assisted software development; problem solving with AI tools
Compensation:
$75,000-85,000
