Job Description:

We believe media investment shouldn’t exist in silos. We believe in media engineered as a unified system, interconnected, intelligent, and designed to drive measurable business outcomes at speed. As the Investment Lead, you’ll be the architect of that system for clients. You’ll build holistic investment strategies that break down walls between channels, unify signals across the ecosystem, and turn complexity into clarity for clients. Every dollar should not only work harder, but smarter, connected across the entire consumer experience. This is not a role for traditional media buyers. It’s for strategic thinkers, storytellers, and leaders who can translate data and market insight into decisive action and sustainable growth. If you’re ready to lead the next chapter of performance media, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do

Architect the Unified Investment System

  • Design and manage holistic investment strategies across Search, Social, Programmatic, Video, Retail Media, and beyond ensuring all channels work together as a connected system, not in silos.
  • Balance and oversee working media budgets dynamically, aligning every investment decision with client business objectives, market signals, and future opportunity.
  • Harness data analysis, interconnected signals, and economic forecasting to proactively guide strategy and navigate market volatility.
  • Champion innovation, integrating emerging tools, AI-driven solutions, and novel deal structures that elevate both client performance and iProspect’s market differentiation.
  • Develop reusable frameworks, POV templates, and operating models that embed holistic thinking into the agency’s DNA.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity to create a bespoke approach for your specific client(s)
  • Determine & Lead Global vs. Regional strategy and/or approaches within unified investment

Lead Clients & Shape Marketplace Thinking

  • Be the primary voice for unified investment, delivering sharp, forward-looking narratives that connect investment decisions directly to business outcomes.
  • Confidently lead high-stakes discussions, transforming insights into clarity and decisive guidance for clients.
  • Serve as a thought leader, synthesizing competitive intelligence, consumer trends, and economic shifts into holistic viewpoints that shape both client strategy and iProspect’s position in the market.
  • Actively contribute to client growth, crafting compelling market POVs, designing holistic investment solutions, and helping secure new JBP’s, both global and local, that drive growth.

Build & Inspire High-Performing Teams

  • Mentor channel specialists, fostering the ability to think and act holistically rather than in channel silos.
  • Partner seamlessly with Strategy, Planning, Analytics, Operations, and Client Services to deliver integrated solutions that connect creative ideas to measurable outcomes.
  • Establish clear priorities and drive collaborative problem-solving across disciplines to ensure unified execution of complex strategies.
  • Promote a challenger mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, inspiring teams to innovate and engineer the future of performance media.

Must-Have:

  • 12+ years in media investment or planning with proven experience across all channels.
  • 10+ yrs experience operating within a large, complex global organization/account
  • 8+ years leading and inspiring teams.
  • Exceptional client leadership and strategic storytelling skills.
  • Passion for emerging technologies and their role in transforming media.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
