About Campspot

Campspot is the leading software platform and online marketplace serving the campground industry. We power a large and growing network of campgrounds across North America, helping operators grow their businesses while creating exceptional outdoor experiences for campers. Campspot is investing in the next phase of its B2B go-to-market engine and is looking for a senior leader to help shape that future.

The Role

We’re seeking a Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing to own our end-to-end revenue engine for our campground-facing software business. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead Campspot’s combined Sales and Marketing organization, including multiple sales teams and a dedicated B2B marketing function. You’ll inherit an established GTM team and play a critical role in its next stage of growth, with the opportunity to broaden your scope as the company continues to scale. *Qualified candidates may also be considered for a Chief Revenue Officer title with expanded scope and responsibilities.

Campspot has built a strong foundation with a market-leading product and healthy inbound demand, and we continue to invest heavily in product innovation. In parallel, we’re entering the next phase of our go-to-market evolution: building more proactive outbound and partner-led motions, sharpening revenue operations, and elevating our brand and product marketing to match our market opportunity. You will be the architect and operator of that next phase.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role suited for an experienced GTM executive who has owned both Sales and Marketing in a B2B SaaS environment, and who is comfortable working in a PE-backed, growth-focused company.

What You’ll Own

Sales Leadership

  • Own all new logo and expansion sales for Campspot’s B2B software, across both inbound and outbound motions.
  • Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing sales team, including at least one layer of frontline sales managers.
  • Define and refine the sales process from prospecting through close, ensuring consistency, discipline, and clear stage definitions.
  • Build and scale a robust outbound engine (phone, email, events) targeted at independently owned campgrounds and other outdoor hospitality businesses, as well as more complex multi-location and enterprise accounts.
  • Optimize territory design, quota setting, and compensation plans to drive performance while reinforcing the right behaviors.
  • Use pipeline and funnel analytics to forecast accurately, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.

Marketing Leadership

You will directly manage our Head of B2B Marketing and their team, partnering to develop and execute the strategy and performance of all B2B marketing activities.

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy aligned to revenue, pipeline, and market share goals.
  • Oversee demand generation across digital and offline channels (SEO, SEM, paid social, email, outbound programs, tradeshows/events), balancing experimentation with ROI discipline.
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing to sharpen positioning, pricing, and messaging for campground operators, and to ensure impactful product launches and feature adoption.
  • Elevate the Campspot brand through thought leadership, content, industry partnerships, and PR to solidify our category leadership in outdoor hospitality.
  • Own the performance of software.campspot.com and associated conversion funnels, including landing pages, forms, and campaign-specific experiences.

Revenue Operations & GTM Architecture

  • Define and operationalize a cohesive GTM architecture across CRM (HubSpot), sales engagement, marketing automation, and reporting.
  • Ensure data quality, segmentation, and reporting that give clear visibility into funnel performance from first touch to close and beyond.
  • Partner with Finance to align plans, budgets, and headcount models with growth targets and unit economics.
  • Collaborate closely with any GTM operations resources to drive efficiency and insight across the revenue engine as the organization evolves.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, working closely with Product, Customer Success, Operations, and our PE sponsor to shape strategy and execution.
  • Represent Campspot externally with polish and credibility in front of C-suite buyers, strategic partners, and industry organizations.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Onboarding, and Support to ensure a coherent end-to-end customer journey and strong net revenue retention.

What You Bring

Must-Have Experience

  • 10+ years of professional experience in B2B software, including material leadership experience over both Sales and Marketing functions.
  • Proven experience managing a team of at least 15 direct and indirect reports, including at least one layer of managers.
  • Meaningful ownership of new business sales and pipeline generation in a SaaS context, including both inbound and outbound motions and experience selling systems of record or mission-critical platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to build or significantly transform a GTM organization—playbooks, territories, comp plans, hiring profiles, and change management.
  • Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills; comfortable interpreting data, building dashboards, and using insights to inform strategy.
  • Executive presence and communication skills; confident presenting to boards, investors, and C-suite customers.
  • Low-ego, team-first leadership style with a track record of building trust across functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Ideal Background

While not all required, the strongest candidates will bring many of the following:

  • Direct experience in B2B SaaS companies in a growth-stage environment, ideally PE-backed and operating with strong performance expectations.
  • Experience selling to independently owned or family-run businesses as well as more complex enterprise customers.
  • Experience selling or marketing to hospitality or local services operators (campgrounds, RV parks, hotels, restaurants, outdoor recreation, etc.).
  • Prior ownership of revenue operations and/or sales operations capabilities.
  • Experience working closely with Customer Success, Onboarding, or Operations teams, ideally with prior leadership responsibility in one or more of those areas.
  • Direct experience with event- and tradeshow-driven pipeline generation.
  • International experience and/or multi-market campaign leadership.
  • Strong academic pedigree - top 25 ungraduate institution and/or top-tier MBA.
  • Passion for the outdoors and alignment with Campspot's mission and customers.

Location & Travel

This role is based in Denver, Chicago, or Grand Rapids. We’re looking for leaders who are open to a heavy in-office presence to collaborate closely with peers and team members, while still allowing for reasonable flexibility. Travel to customers, conferences, and internal meetings is expected approximately 10–12 times per year.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary in the range of $150k–$225k, with substantial additional performance-based cash compensation as part of the total package
  • Competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options at affordable rates
  • 401(k) plan with employer match
  • Flexible and casual work environment with flexible time off
  • Employee camping credit to encourage getting outdoors and experiencing our product!

If you’re an experienced GTM executive who enjoys building, not just inheriting, and you’re excited by the idea of shaping the category leader in campground software, we’d love to hear from you.

Campspot is a motivated team of outdoor enthusiasts and software professionals with decades of experience in the campground and outdoor industry. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
