We are seeking a SVP, Business Manager/Chief of Staff to support the Managing Director of Risk Strategy Execution in overseeing the execution, governance, and strategic alignment of credit risk decisioning and modeling capabilities. This role serves as a key business partner, driving operational efficiency, strategic planning, and cross-functional coordination across risk, technology, and business teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit risk processes, decisioning systems, and change management frameworks, with the ability to manage day-to-day business operations while ensuring alignment with the organization's risk strategy and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director, providing strategic insights, business planning, and execution support across risk decisioning and modeling functions.

  • Lead business planning activities, including strategy development, goal setting, and performance tracking for key credit risk initiatives.

  • Oversee project management and execution of critical initiatives related to credit risk decisioning and change management processes.

  • Ensure seamless coordination between risk, technology, operations, and regulatory teams to drive business objectives.

Governance & Change Management

  • Support the governance of credit risk decisioning and modeling engines, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Develop and maintain business oversight frameworks for change management cycles, model updates, and risk controls.

  • Ensure executive leadership has clear visibility into the status, risks, and progress of key initiatives through structured reporting and communication frameworks.

  • Assist in coordinating regulatory responses, audit requirements, and risk assessments related to credit decisioning strategies.

Business Performance & Financial Management

  • Oversee financial planning and budgeting processes for the risk decisioning and modeling function, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of risk decisioning processes and governance frameworks.

  • Partner with finance and analytics teams to quantify the business impact of model changes and risk strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between senior leadership, business units, and support functions to drive alignment and execution of risk strategies.

  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and business reviews for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Drive collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of credit risk initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in business management, risk strategy, or credit risk governance within financial services.

  • Strong understanding of credit risk decisioning systems, modeling frameworks, and regulatory requirements (OCC, CFPB, Fed).

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, drive strategic initiatives, and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and financial management skills.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment with strong attention to detail and execution focus.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$144,480.00 - $216,720.00
