Has overall accountability for the success of the assigned territorial/regional core marketing, sales, and production operations. JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
1. Engages with all business units and lines of business in shaping market facing communications and all sales initiatives.
2. Collaborates with National Distribution executives at the company to ensure annual production and profitability plans are met for national brokers. Acts as a primary relationship manager for the largest producer relationships and industry associations.
3. Works closely with the National Distribution executives to relay business to assigned local offices that nationally represented brokers have in their region.
4. Is responsible for ensuring optimal alignment between all CNA business units' target appetites and the books of business of agents/brokers in the region to maximize our profitable growth opportunities. This role must know all available CNA products and appetites.
5. The role generates prospects for their territories to match the business's core strategic appetite to that of the agents/brokers in their territory. Ensures the achievement of continued profitability, growth objectives, and/or operational efficiencies for assigned region.
6. The position must have a strong understanding of the company's long term business appetite and how that aligns with the business of agents/brokers in the territory. Top Executive levels dictate the appetite, underwriting authority and have full underwriter oversight,
7. Maintains relationships with key agents/brokers in the region.
8. Understands the portfolios, expertise and servicing needs of agents/brokers in the region to maximize the flow of prospects towards CNA and to ensure all agents and brokers domiciled in the territory meet their production and profitability of annual plans for all lines of business.
9. Regular reporting and monitoring of key performance indicators required to ensure achievement of annuals profitability goals.
10. Working in collaboration with home office senior leadership, this position will manage the variable terms, conditions and fee structures at year end with the agents/brokers in their assigned territory.
11. May lead, direct and has full management accountability for staff in area with an emphasis on talent management and succession planning in accordance with corporate strategic direction.
May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
1. Mastery of a discipline, professional field or formal body of knowledge and broad understanding of the critical issues in other related areas.
2. Expert communication skills which are critical to building consensus across area of influence (external and/or internal relationships), team, matrix and/or hybrid environment.
3. Superior leadership and management skills demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
4. Proven ability to drive sales results by identifying and resolving significant problems within scope of responsibility.
5. Expert level knowledge of the insurance industry, its products, and services.
6. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
Education & Experience
1. Bachelor's degree with Master's preferred in a related discipline, or equivalent.
2. Typically a minimum of 15-20 years of related underwriting, sales, marketing and distribution management experience.
3. Applicable professional certifications preferred.
