SVP, US KOL Data Solutions (KDS)
Position Summary
The SVP, US KOL Data Solutions (KDS) is responsible for delivering business goals for the KDS practice area – sales, revenue, profitability. The role will lead strategic initiatives focused on thought leaders – Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and Digital Opinion Leader (DOL) – engagement, development, and influence mapping.
This role will leverage data driven insights to shape client strategies through the creation and activation of thought leadership networks, leveraging data-driven insights. The role is also expected to be a role model for Precision principles: Client Service, Purpose, Accountability, Mutual Respect & Collaboration.
The position reports to the EVP/MP of Product Solutions and will manage a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Performance
- Responsible for achieving KDS sales, revenue and profitability goals.
- Partner with Precision sales leadership to coordinate sales activities and pipeline management.
- Collaborate with Precision service line leadership to support cross selling efforts.
- Balance sales and product delivery efforts to ensure strategic alignment and execution.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in interactions with clients and internal Precision stakeholders.
- Business Strategy
- Leverage subject matter expertise to lead development of best-in-class client thought leader strategies & offerings.
- Inform the design and implementation of frameworks to identify & engage thought leaders to amplify MLR-approved client brand messages.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with relevant AQ service lines and practice areas (especially Medical Communications, Advertising, Omnichannel Solutions International) to align KDS offerings to address client challenges and opportunities.
- Partner with Product Development to leverage customer insights to inform the evolution of KOL and DOL solutions.
- Talent & Team Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing team focused on innovation and execution.
- Champion a culture of thought leadership, data fluency, and strategic agility.
Qualifications
- Minimum BS Degree, Master Degree
- Minimum 20 years of proven experience in life sciences, consulting, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success with account-based selling
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategy and practical implementation.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven expertise in KOL/DOL strategy & tools, thought leader development, and influence mapping.
- Strong understanding and acumen of software platforms and applicability to digital engagement and omnichannel strategy.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic direction.
