About the Role

LendingClub is seeking a visionary SVP of Product and Design to lead our next chapter of customer engagement and product innovation. You will be instrumental in shaping a bold product strategy that extends beyond lending, leveraging recent strategic acquisitions - including Tally and Cushion - to build a differentiated, member-centric platform.
As Head of Product, you will drive cross-functional alignment, champion design excellence, and ensure LendingClub anticipates and meets evolving customer needs. Your leadership will be key to positioning the company for long-term growth and market leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision that aligns with LendingClub’s overall strategic Define and champion a clear product vision that aligns with LendingClub’s strategic objectives, with a strong focus on customer engagement and satisfaction 
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of ~30 product professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous growth 
  • Bring experience from high-growth, late-stage, or public companies, with a deep understanding of navigating complex organizations and cross-functional stakeholder dynamics 
  • Drive product strategy across the full consumer lifecycle, including 0–1 initiatives and new product offerings that expand LendingClub’s reach and impact 
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure product performance, ensuring a data-driven approach to decision-making and continuous improvement 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery 
  • Lead the integration of Tally, LendingClub’s newest acquisition, and unlock its full potential within the broader product ecosystem. 
  • Elevate the voice of the product organization, partnering closely with marketing, sales, and engineering to align innovation with customer needs and business goals 
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, customer feedback, and competitive dynamics to identify new opportunities for innovation and differentiation 
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all products, balancing innovation with the requirements of a regulated financial environment 

About You

  • 15+ years of product leadership experience, ideally within fintech, financial services, or banking 
  • Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams, with experience managing 30+ team members 
  • Deep empathy for the consumer journey, with a strong grasp of customer pain points and how to build authentic, direct-to-consumer experiences 
  • Expertise in product development lifecycle, roadmap prioritization, user research, and customer-driven innovation 
  • Strategic and hands-on, with a KPI-oriented, data-driven mindset and the ability to translate insights into action 
  • Champion of transparency and accountability, fostering a high-trust, high-impact team culture 
  • Exceptional communicator and influencer, able to engage stakeholders at all levels - internally and externally 

Work Location
San Francisco
The above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. LendingClub offers relocation, based on actual job level.
Time Zone Requirements
Primarily PT
While the position will primarily work local hours, LendingClub is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.
Travel Requirements
As needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations, as needed.
Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 278,000-315,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of LendingClub’s Total Rewards package. You may also be eligible for long-term awards (equity) and an annual bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings).
