This senior leadership role will play a pivotal part in shaping Nuvei’s global presence, guiding communication strategies, and ensuring our message resonates with key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the role will also work closely with the CEO and the broader leadership team. You will lead a high-performing team of PR, social, and internal communications professionals, driving consistency, innovation, and excellence in all communications efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Narrative & Strategy: Partner with leadership to define and continuously refine Nuvei’s corporate narrative, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and market positioning.
  • Comprehensive Communication Strategy: Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy that reinforces Nuvei’s brand identity and communicates our value proposition across diverse platforms.
  • Storytelling & Key Events: Lead the creation of impactful storytelling around significant corporate milestones, including mergers and acquisitions, product launches, client successes, senior leadership appointments, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives.
  • Messaging & Voice: Establish a unified and consistent corporate voice across all communications, coaching internal teams and executives to maintain cohesion and clarity in messaging.
  • Media Relations & Visibility: Build and nurture relationships with top-tier media outlets, industry analysts, and influencers to secure broad and strategic media coverage for Nuvei. Ensure maximum visibility for the company, its leadership, and its achievements.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and manage a robust crisis communications plan, including rapid-response strategies and reputation management protocols, ensuring Nuvei is prepared to handle any challenges effectively.
  • • Executive Thought Leadership: Position Nuvei’s CEO and executive leadership team as thought leaders in the fintech, technology, and payments sectors. Secure high-profile media placements and public speaking opportunities in top-tier business and financial outlets.
  • Media Training & Development: Design and implement comprehensive media training programs for senior executives and key spokespersons to enhance their media presence and communication skills. • Industry Thought Leadership: Cultivate strong relationships with influential journalists, analysts, and industry experts, positioning Nuvei as a leading voice in the fintech and e-commerce space.
  • Social Media Strategy: Oversee the development and execution of a strategic social media plan to amplify Nuvei’s brand message, engage with stakeholders, and drive thought leadership across relevant platforms.
  • Employer Brand & Talent Acquisition: Partner with HR to craft and execute Nuvei’s employer branding strategy, supporting talent acquisition and recruitment efforts to attract top-tier candidates.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the communications team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement while driving measurable results.
  • Performance Metrics & Optimization: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize impact.
  • Internal & External Communication Alignment: Ensure seamless alignment of internal and external messaging to maintain consistency and clarity across all communication channels and stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product, marketing, and business development teams to communicate Nuvei’s technological innovations and market differentiators, driving growth and brand awareness.

Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields, with strong strategic and leadership skills.
  • Expertise: Demonstrated success in developing corporate narratives, building brand positioning, and crafting high-impact communication strategies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of B2B communications in fintech, technology, e-commerce, or payments industries.
  • Media Relationships: Proven ability to cultivate relationships with top-tier business and financial media outlets, as well as trade publications.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing, coaching, and motivating senior content experts and communications professionals.
  • Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities across a range of formats and platforms.
