  • Build and continuously improve a scalable operating model that supports Tidal’s growth while maintaining accuracy, consistency, strong controls, and service quality.
  • Lead and develop senior managers and fund administration professionals, building leadership depth, succession readiness, clear accountability, and a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Oversee Governance, Risk and Regulatory Operations
  • Maintain strong oversight of regulatory filings, board reporting, liquidity monitoring, audits, and operational risk, ensuring appropriate controls and timely, accurate execution.
  • Oversee key SEC regulatory filings and fund reporting obligations, including Forms N-PORT, N-CEN, 24f-2, N-PX, and other required filings.
  • Lead board reporting and support regulatory exams, audits, client due diligence, and other oversight activities.
  • Establish clear policies, procedures, escalation frameworks, service standards, metrics, and management reporting that strengthen visibility and governance across the function.
Partner Across Tidal and the ETF Ecosystem
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for fund administrators, custodians, auditors, legal counsel, boards, clients, and other key service providers.
  • Partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, Client Service, Product, and Technology to resolve operational matters and support a consistent client and fund experience.
Drive Operational Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce operational risk, improve consistency, and introduce automation and reporting across Fund Administration.
  • Help shape the future-state infrastructure and capabilities needed to support an increasingly large and sophisticated ETF platform.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in ETF fund operations, ETF fund administration, or a closely related ETF operating function, with meaningful ETF industry experience required.
  • Significant experience leading large teams, senior managers, or multi-team operating groups in a high-growth or high-volume environment.
  • Deep knowledge of ETF operations, including regulatory filings, board reporting, audit support, liquidity monitoring, service-provider oversight, and operational controls.
  • Strong understanding of SEC regulatory requirements applicable to ETFs and registered funds.
  • Experience working closely with ETF fund administrators, custodians, auditors, legal counsel, boards, and other fund service providers.
  • Proven ability to build scalable processes, strengthen controls, reduce operational risk, and improve efficiency across complex workflows.
  • Demonstrated success managing board materials, regulatory filings, audit cycles, and other fund oversight processes.
  • Excellent judgment, communication, relationship management, and executive presence.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance strategic leadership, changing priorities, and hands-on issue resolution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with liquidity monitoring and operational risk management.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification, such as an MBA or CFA.
  • Experience helping scale an ETF operating platform through significant organizational or business growth.
  • Experience implementing automation, reporting, or technology solutions to improve complex fund administration workflows.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
