The SVP, Content Expert, Market Access position is responsible for driving enterprise-level payer strategy, stakeholder engagement, and content innovation across the agency’s portfolio. This individual acts as a visionary leader and subject matter authority in the market access landscape (commercial, government, specialty, and IDN sectors), with a proven ability to architect complex strategies that shape payer narratives, elevate client brands, and influence market behavior. The SVP plays a critical role in executive client relationships, cross-functional team development, business growth, and thought leadership across Peregrine Market Access.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads strategic direction for market access initiatives across multiple clients and therapeutic areas, ensuring alignment with evolving payer landscapes and healthcare policy changes.
- Anticipates and interprets market trends to guide agency offerings, client recommendations, and internal capability development.
- Drives the development of innovative content platforms and market-shaping narratives that set new standards in the industry.
- Builds and deepens strategic relationships with executive-level clients, ensuring long-term partnership value and satisfaction.
- Serves as executive sponsor on key accounts and mentors client teams to maintain high-performance standards and trusted advisory status.
- Leads the participation in pitch opportunities and strategic business development efforts, translating complex challenges into compelling value propositions.
- Develops and implements agency-wide frameworks for market access excellence, fostering consistency, scalability, and best-in-class delivery
- Mentors and develops next-generation leadership, ensuring team readiness to manage increasingly sophisticated client demands.
- Advises on operational priorities, resource alignment, and account performance metrics to ensure profitability and client success.
- Establishes rigorous quality standards for all deliverables in the payer strategy and content space.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MPH, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical/biotech market access strategy, with at least 7 years in executive or senior leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale access initiatives, product launches, and value development programs across multiple therapeutic areas.
- Proven track record of leading and growing complex client relationships at the VP and C-suite level.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems, payer decision-making processes, reimbursement trends, and access barriers.
