This role leads Information Delivery, including Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Integration Fabric, Content Analytics, Data Operations, and Data Governance. This is a strategic leadership role requiring both vision-setting and hands-on execution – the executive steward of the company’s information ecosystem. Reports to the Chief Technology Officer.

Who you’re committed to being:

  • You enjoy learning and are open to new ways of doing things.

  • You are not afraid to be yourself, experiment, make mistakes and learn from them, ask questions, or voice your concerns.

  • When communicating you are self-aware, insightful, and proactive.

  • You are a team member first and individual contributor second. You are aware that high-performing teams are only as strong as their weakest link.

  • You believe in continuous improvement and request frequent feedback from others.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and drive the enterprise data and analytics strategy in alignment with company objectives and Technology Group priorities

  • Partner with key business partners to inform business strategy through data-driven insights

  • Own the end-to-end information delivery lifecycle, from data ingestion and integration through analytics and insight delivery

  • Establish and operationalize data governance, quality, and stewardship standards enterprise-wide

  • Build and lead high-performing data, analytics, and engineering teams while fostering a data-driven culture

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Experience in SaaS, technology-enabled learning, content platforms, or subscription businesses

  • Background in modern analytics platforms, cloud data ecosystems, and data visualization tools

  • Experience partnering with data science and AI/ML teams

  • Track record driving data culture and data literacy across technical and non-technical teams

  • Prior accountability for data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance

Requirements:

  • Executive-level leadership experience in data, analytics, business intelligence, or information delivery

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end data architecture, including ETL/ELT, analytics engineering, and modern data platforms

  • Proven ability to define data strategy while building and operating production data systems

  • Strong track record translating complex data concepts into actionable business insights for executive audiences

  • Exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder partnership skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or information delivery roles

  • 5+ years leading senior-level or enterprise-scale data organizations

  • This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. This approach enables more effective collaboration, quicker decision-making, and a stronger culture, while still providing flexibility.

Why you’ll love working here:

  • We are mission-driven, shaping the future of tech upskillling and delivering impact that matters.

  • We foster a culture of inclusion and belonging, where everyone can contribute and thrive.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
