The Senior Vice President, Business Management Technology as a member of Focus’s Technology Leadership Team is responsible for defining and executing the technology strategy that enables scalable, efficient, and compliant business management operations across the organization. This leader will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of accounting and business management platforms that support complex financial workflows, client reporting, and operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities- Define and lead the long-term technology roadmap for Business Management capabilities, with a strong emphasis on accounting, reporting, and operational platforms.
- Help transform using AI and Technology on our business management, accounting and bill paying services including how to extend our Salesforce environment to support the needs of the Business Management teams.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders across Business Management, Finance, and Operations to align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams responsible for business management systems, integrations, and vendor relationships.
- Act as an executive sponsor for large-scale system implementations and transformations.
- Own and optimize accounting and business management systems (e.g., general ledger, billing, payables/receivables, financial reporting, workflow automation).
- Evaluate, select, and implement accounting and business management software solutions that support multi-entity, multi-client, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure systems enable accurate, timely, and scalable financial reporting for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Lead efforts to modernize legacy systems and rationalize technology across business lines.
- Drive automation and process efficiency to reduce manual effort, risk, and operational friction.
- Champion data integrity, security, and controls across all business management technologies. Maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of restricted and internal data according to the company’s data classification and data security policies and standards, balancing controls with business needs.
- Work with our risk, legal and compliance teams to comply with regulations e.g. CCPA, GDPR, SOX 404(b) and GLBA and other laws
- Establish governance, controls, and best practices for system usage, data management, and change management.
- Ensure scalability and resiliency of platforms as the organization grows.
- 15+ years of experience in technology leadership roles supporting finance, accounting, or business management functions.
- Deep hands-on experience with accounting software and business management platforms (e.g., financial accounting, reporting, billing, workflow tools).
- Proven track record of building and scaling business management technology capabilities in a complex, multi-entity environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience leading large, cross-functional system implementations and transformations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with executive stakeholders.
This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $200,000-$250,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
