Fox TV Stations

FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Television Stations seeks a Support Specialist to join our Digital Operations & Support team. This role is critical to the success of FTS Digital products, ensuring the end-to-end technical delivery of best-in-class experiences on our local news digital platforms.

As we navigate through a period of growth, expanding support of our 17 local television markets is paramount to maintaining a successful trajectory. While the primary focus of this role is non-video support, this candidate must be prepared to contribute broadly, as his or her efforts will contribute greatly to our overall operational resilience.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Become a subject matter expert on key systems powering FTS’s news products, including CMS, VMS, and Live scheduler.

  • Engage with teams across television markets to resolve technical issues, facilitating a consistent digital presence nationwide.

  • Enhance and document support processes (SOPs) to elevate user satisfaction and streamline content workflows.

  • Provide training and thorough documentation, enabling users to fully leverage the new tools and processes.

  • Proactively monitor key system dashboards to preempt issues, ensuring the technical delivery of seamless services.

  • Interface with internal teams for User Acceptance Testing, where necessary.

  • When necessary for critical emergencies, offer after-hours on-call support, safeguarding the continuous operation of products.

  • Bridge the gap between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring complete transparency and sync over issues impacting service.

  • Intake internal user feedback and bring that back to product owner

  • Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be unafraid to be in the spotlight on issues and manage comms around it.

  • Communicate clearly to stakeholders and executive leadership.

  • Not be a clock watcher - sometimes after-hours support is needed.

  • Have a desire to get things fixed when they break.

  • Find creative ways to improve workflows.

  • Be agile and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced news environment.

  • Have interest in learning new tools or technologies.

  • 3+ years in digital operations or technical support roles.

  • Hands-on experience with content management systems and workflows.

  • Experience developing, optimizing and publishing content, including news, on digital and social platforms.

  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), video publishing, live streaming.

  • Proficiency with digital analytics and QoS tools (Conviva, DataDog and Adobe Analytics are a plus).

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $100,000.00-120,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $83,300.00-100,000.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
