Job Description
 

Responsibilities:
  • Perform reviews of supply planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and inventory management to support production and commercial supply.
  • Create, manage, and execute production Process Orders (POs)
  • Create, manage, and execute Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) in approved procurement systems
  • Monitor supplier commitments against forecasts and purchase orders; proactively manage delivery risks and exceptions.
  • Track inventory levels, production schedules, and material availability; identify and resolve potential supply constraints.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for suppliers regarding order execution, delivery performance, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, Finance, and other supporting  teams to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Support product lifecycle activities including new product introductions, changes, and discontinuations.
  • Maintain accurate planning and purchasing data in ERP and procurement systems.
  • Compile and analyze data related to inventory levels, shipments, supplier performance, and demand trends.
  • Generate and review supply chain documentation including purchase orders, process orders, material transfers, and shipping documentation.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable cGMP requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning accuracy, inventory health, and supplier performance.
  • Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews as required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in related field and a BS or BA; or
  • 3+ years of relevant experience and a MA/MBA/MS.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Works on assignments that range from routine to moderately non-routine in nature where independent action and initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
  • Able to recognize deviation from accepted practices.
  • Normally receive no instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Applies working knowledge of manufacturing and production operations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrates intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to develop solutions to non-routine problems.


 

The salary range for this position is: $92,820.00 - $120,120.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
