Role Definition:
The IT Supply Chain and Indirect Services Product Manager works as a leader within Caterpillar IT, Resource Industries - IT, Order Fulfillment and Procurement Division. Products within this portfolio include Supply Chain, Indirect Purchasing and Global Facilities corporate applications. This role works directly with business units, Group CIO organizations and across Caterpillar IT to support the modernization and digitization of systems and processes. The Product Owner is accountable for: providing leadership and guidance to the system teams across the organization in direct collaboration with Strategic Planning and Procurement and Indirect Services partners to ensure product adoption that yields high enterprise value. Additionally, the role works across enterprise Caterpillar IT and Cat Digital to deliver high quality, product capability.
What You Will Do:
  • Direct management for a team of 2 IT Managers and 3 Solution Leads; indirect management of a global team of 100-150 people
  • Delivery to existing roadmaps for Third Party Labor, Indirect Purchasing (Coupa), Supply Chain Data Platform, Network Planning and Execution and other supply chain related applications and initiatives.
  • Responsible for the vision alignment to business partners, conveying and execution oversight of that vision with extended team.
  • Tasked with setting and managing release dates for both major and minor versions across a large, multifaceted portfolio.
  • Business Relationship management.
  • Manage budget to plan.
  • Employees are also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field
  • Direct development and/or deployment experience with SaaS applications
  • Domain expert in business applications
  • Supply chain expertise.
  • Expertise with data domains
  • Demonstrated ability to empower teams.
  • Good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards, procedures, and a broad understanding of Caterpillar's organization
  • Experience working with onshore/offshore team models.
  • Experience leading enterprise development / deployment teams.

Summary Pay Range:
$156,000.00 - $234,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
