Position Responsibilities:
- Investigate supplier Notices of Investigation (NoIs) and Notices of Escapement (NoEs) in order to document and control supplier quality escapements which enter the Boeing Production System
- Reviews and validates supplier product quality escapements, including non-conformances, non-compliances, and engineering requirements issues
- Reviews and validates supplier inventory shipped to Boeing to identify shipment of nonconforming product
- Coordinates review with Boeing Engineering, Program Quality, and Supplier representatives to implement disposition for nonconforming parts
- Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System
- Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence
- Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes
- Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution
- Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes
- Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures and material review policies to deliver the software products
- Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements
- Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementation. Creates analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution. Works under general direction
- Provide guidance in reviewing and validating product non-conformances, disposition types, quality procedures, and engineering requirements
- Oversee the analysis and evaluation of product quality, operations, and processes
- Guide the review of production plans to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Apply advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems, and integration to conduct failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems
- Assist in root cause analysis of nonconformances, ensuring thorough investigation and resolution
- Verify the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with technical authorities
- Establish process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives
- Oversee problem resolution processes to ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
- Provide oversight for corrective and preventive action plans, ensuring timely completion
- Review and approve changes to quality planning or the disposition of nonconforming hardware products/processes
- Direct the validation of corrective actions to ensure that the causes of nonconformance have been eliminated
- Monitor the performance of verification activities within the team
- Create formal analytical reports and coordinate with responsible parties for internal and external distribution
- Work under minimal direction and take responsibility for training and mentoring lower-level technicians
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality role
- 5+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
- 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience interfacing with suppliers
- 3+ years of experience working with the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM)
