About the Team: 

The Factory Test team is responsible for hardware testing in our Long Beach facilities. We use our breadth of experience and collaborative engineering approach to support everything from very large structural tests to precise valve actuation. To that end, we design, build, and operate all test assets in Long Beach from initial concept to test execution. If you enjoy working on a multi-disciplinary team with a broad mandate and want to put hands on hardware, then this is the team for you.

About the Role:

  • Oversee operational build schedule, ensuring test stand readiness and test campaign success
  • Responsible for full performance-management lifecycle of individual contributors and work-center leaders
  • Develop plans for continuous improvement such as training and development, strategic personnel utilization, and optimization strategies
  • Work with engineering to improve area safety, processes, procedures, and efficiency
  • Facilitate mentorship to support team members’ professional growth and development.
  • Interface with area leadership, and prioritize work based on test schedule and organizational goals

About You:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a complex engineering system development and/or test environment
  • 2+ years leadership experience overseeing a team
  • Ability to precisely plan an activity, then execute according to that plan with minimal changes
  • Proficiency with office software (Excel, Word, Outlook) -High school diploma or GED required

Nice to haves but not required:  

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret controlled documentation and processes, such as: assembly procedures/work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, BOM’s, cable harnesses, wiring diagrams and layout drawings
  • Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environment. -Proficient in control of hazardous energy (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures
  • Experience applying lean manufacturing principles

Hiring Range:
$127,000$160,000 USD
