About the role
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and collaborative Psychiatrist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide direct clinical care to patients and contribute to the development of processes that will shape the future of Psychiatry at Two Chairs. In addition to your clinical duties, you will play a crucial role in supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers, ensuring high standards of care delivery across our expanding clinical team.

Core Areas of Responsibility

  • Clinical Care 
    • Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with mild to moderate mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mood disorders, in collaboration with our healthcare teams (therapists, social workers, etc.)
    • Provide exceptional psychiatric care, prescribing medications in an ethical and clinically appropriate manner utilizing measurement-based care
    • Conduct ongoing assessments, including medication management, psychotherapy, and progress evaluations, to ensure the best clinical outcomes for each patient.  
  • Supervision and Mentorship of Advanced Providers  
    • Oversee and supervise advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs, APRNs, etc.) who will have a caseload of patients, ensuring they follow appropriate clinical protocols and best practices.  
    • Review and provide guidance on documentation and treatment plans, including medication management, and ensure that advanced providers adhere to clinical guidelines.  
    • Ensure crises are managed appropriately and in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  • Process Development and Improvement  
    • Participate in the design and implementation of tools or technologies that streamline patient care, improve treatment tracking, and ensure high standards of service.  
    • Provide input into the development of treatment guidelines and protocols for mild to moderate mental health conditions, ensuring they are aligned with evidence-based practices and exceed industry standards.
  • Patient Education and Support  
    • Provide psychotherapy to patients during sessions when clinically appropriate to improve clinical outcomes, medication adherence, and overall mental wellness.  
    • Provide psychoeducation to help patients better understand their mental health conditions and engage in their treatment plans actively.  
    • Support patients in setting achievable goals for their mental well-being and overall quality of life.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork 
    • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes therapists, counselors, care coordinators, and advanced providers to provide holistic care. 
    • Provide support with challenging cases and clinical decision-making, ensuring consistent quality of care across the team.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to address operational challenges, enhance service delivery, and improve patient outcomes.

Impact and Success Indicators 

  • Where you’ll make an impact in the first 90 days:
    • Oversee and supervise advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs, APRNs, etc.) who will have a caseload of patients, ensuring they follow appropriate clinical protocols and best practices. 
    • Provide psychotherapy to patients during sessions when clinically appropriate to improve clinical outcomes, medication adherence and overall mental wellness. 
    • Engage in regular team meetings to review patient progress, exchange insights, and contribute to the ongoing development of care models. 
    • Contribute to developing and refining clinical workflows and best practices for delivering high-quality mental health care. 
  • We’re looking for someone with:
    • MD or DO degree with board certification in Psychiatry.  
    • Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in Florida [additional state licensure preferred, or willingness to obtain additional state licensures].  
    • DEA registration preferred, or willingness to obtain with support from Two Chairs
    • Experience working with a range of mental health conditions, particularly mild to moderate anxiety, depression, stress, and mood disorders.  
    • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to develop individualized treatment plans that deliver exceptional clinical care.  
    • Experience prescribing psychiatric medications and managing treatment plans for mild to moderate mental health conditions.  
    • Experience supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs, etc.).  
    • Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and virtual care delivery is a plus.  

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers an annualized part-time salary of $150,800 - $176,800 based on 20 hours per week (equivalent to $301,600 - $353,600 for 40 hours per week)  for candidates residing in Zone 4. The final offer is dependent on qualifications and experience. . 

Please note that this role is a part-time, exempt position, scheduled to work between 10 and 20 hours per week depending on candidates interest. The table below shows the pay range by zone and the full-time equivalent range.
